Day 9 “Simplicity” #100daysofmoregrace ... everyday is filled with storied moments though I feel too rushed to listen. If I take time to be changed by what I see or feel or hear, when I pause for the parable, it makes all the difference. (Emily Polis Gibson/Barnstorming.blog)
Day 8 “Settle for More” #100daysofmoregrace ... something to consider: every piece of art is an Ebenezer stone, evidence of God’s faithfulness. Trust is crucial. So is self-forgetfulness and a measure of audacity. You’ll be tempted to slow down, or take an easier route —but it is only by discipline you’ll finish, and it is only in finishing that you’ll be able to offer up your humble work to those who my need it.
Day 7 “Make Some Noise” #the100dayproject ... even though today was grey and overcast, our home was filled with sunny laughter of children. They certainly know how to make some noise! I didn’t have an opportunity to paint today so thought I would share this bright drawing from a few years ago...the lively colors are perfect for the closure of a beautiful day!
Day 6 “contented” #100daysofmoregrace ...”a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush—always learning to enjoy what I have rather than desiring what I don’t have. Contentment. (Ecclesiastes 6v9)
Day 5 “Quiet Dawning” #100dayproject ... dawn was breaking over the horizon, shell pink and faintly gold (J.K. Rowling) ...this day, with much busyness, has come to an end...with a wren nestled in splashes of orange.
Day 4 “The Kindest” #the100dayproject ...”there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.” -Brené Brown — hope you all have an exceptional kind day! (There is A better view in stories) #100daysofmoregrace
Day 3 “Soar” #the100dayproject ...a mixed media collage with a print of a blue bird I painted a few years ago. The lilacs were an after thought when I discovered #28februaryflowers. I added the sunflower for the burst of sunshine, swallowing the darkness. I know, this is an odd piece. It’s the “doing of it” that helped me to soar. To consider the discipline needed to plan time to paint or doodle or collage.
Day 2 “The Song” #the100dayproject ...”and the trees of the fields will clap their hands as the land rejoices...and instead of the briar the myrtle blooms with a thousand flowers. Let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.” (Quote Andrew Peterson/Psalm 96:12)
Day 1 “The Woods” #the100dayproject
